For a long time Search CPAN has used the WAIT module to provide searching of POD documents. Today we started testing the use of Swish-e. Try it and let us know what you think
The results look a little better to me and it seems much faster, yay!

pretty good. seems faster. and the search result is quite relevent based on my search on keywords "templte toolkit" and "cgi".
however the search of "perlchina" didn't return anything but the old one did.

Qiang, There is a reson for this. The new search engine is much more strict to namespace registrations. i.e. it tracks what CPAN.pm would do if asked to install a module.
The only document found by the old engine is for Class::DBI::Loader::Relationship, but the uploader does not have authorizations for that namespace, so the new indexer is returning the previous upload. Which is exactly the same as what CPAN.pm is currently doing.
